The shift happened in July 2025. If you signed up before then, you might still be on a legacy credit-based plan. If you signed up after, you're on one of our current unlimited plans. Let's break both down so you know exactly what you're paying for.


Current Unlimited Plans (July 2025 and Later)

We completely reimagined how you pay for data. Instead of counting credits and worrying about running out, you pay one flat monthly fee and get unlimited contact unlocks—both emails and direct dial phone numbers. The catch? We have a fair use policy to prevent abuse and ensure the service stays fast for everyone.


Fair Use Policy

Since you get unlimited access, we needed a way to prevent bots and automated scraping that would slow things down for everyone else. Our fair use policy is designed to stop that. But here's the honest truth: if you're a sales rep or recruiter doing genuine, human-led outreach—which is what our product is built for—you'll almost never hit this limit.


What counts as normal use:

  • Using the extension daily
  • Running 10+ Prospector searches per week
  • Uploading files monthly
  • Integrating with your CRM
  • Prospecting on hundreds of prospects in a month

What's prohibited (abnormal use):

  • Scraping our entire database
  • Running thousands of API requests per minute
  • Uploading an entire LinkedIn directory to extract emails
  • Automated bulk access, bots, or robotic workflows
  • Generic mass communications without reviewing individual profiles


Fair use thresholds exist per week and are designed to prevent platform abuse while enabling normal business use. Teams plans have higher thresholds than solo plans.


What If I Hit a Fair Use Limit?

If you ever do run into a speed limit (which is incredibly rare), just reach out to support@swordfish.ai and we'll review your use case and adjust if needed. Our support team is happy to work with power users who have legitimate, high-volume workflows.

This is our entry-level plan, and it's where most individual contributors start. You get:

  • Unlimited email and mobile number unlocks. Search for someone's direct dial or email and reveal it instantly—no credits, no usage limits.
  • Chrome Extension to find contact info while browsing LinkedIn, Twitter, or Google. Click the Swordfish button on a profile, and you have their email and phone in seconds.
  • Prospector, our search and list-building tool. Want to find all VPs of Sales at SaaS companies with 50-200 employees in California? Build that list, reveal all their contact info, and export it.
  • Reverse Lookup, perfect for deep-diving on a single person before a call or interview. See their full work history, education, social profiles, all verified.
  • One user license—just you.


At $99/month, this works great for individual sales reps, recruiters, entrepreneurs, or anyone selling or recruiting solo. You get the full feature set; you're just the only person on the account.


Professional Plan: $49/month (Billed Annually—50% Off)

Same plan as above, but if you're committed for a year, we give you a 50% discount. That's $588/year instead of $1,188. Solid deal if you know you'll be using Swordfish for the long haul.


Team & Scale Plan: $599/month (Billed Monthly) — Up to 5 Users

This is where teams come in. You get everything in Professional, plus:

  • Bulk Enrichment & File Upload. Upload a CSV or Excel file with your prospect list, and Swordfish enriches it all at once. Add emails and phone numbers to a 1,000-row list in minutes, not hours.
  • ATS/CRM Integrations & API Access. Connect Swordfish directly to Salesforce, HubSpot, or your favorite recruitment tool. Or build custom integrations with our API for advanced workflows.
  • Team Management Dashboard. Add team members to your account. Each person gets the same unlimited access, and you can see team usage and manage permissions from one place.

The Team & Scale plan is built for growing sales and recruiting teams. If you have 2-5 people on your team and need to work together with shared lists and integrations, this is where you land.


Team & Scale Plan: $299/month (Billed Annually—Best Value) — Up to 5 Users

Same plan as above, but pay annually and save 50%. That's $3,588/year—over $3,000 cheaper than month-to-month billing.


Team & Scale Plan: $299/month (Billed Monthly) — 6-10 Users

Everything in the 5-user plan, but for larger teams. This tier supports 6-10 team members with the same unlimited access, integrations, and AI features.


Team & Scale Plan: $149/month (Billed Annually) — 6-10 Users

Same as the 6-10 monthly plan, but with 50% annual savings. Pay $1,788/year and get full team functionality for 6-10 users.


Scaling Beyond 10 Users?

Enterprise & API Plan: Custom Pricing

Our Enterprise plan is for organizations with unique needs. This might be because you need massive data volume, you're operating at high throughput, or you have specialized integration requirements. Here's what you get:

  • Custom API design and high-volume data delivery
  • Flat-file snapshots (CSV exports of your prospect list, market segments, or full database data)
  • Unlimited team seats and SSO (Single Sign-On) for enterprise security
  • Full commercial licensing, which means you can purchase data and redistribute it or resell it (subject to agreement)
  • Dedicated success manager who understands your workflow and proactively helps optimize your use
  • Custom invoicing and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) tailored to your contract

Legacy Credit-Based Plans (Before July 2025)

If you signed up before July 2025, you might still be on a legacy plan. Here's how it works.

You buy credits upfront. Each time you do a Reverse Lookup search, it costs 1 credit. Unused credits roll over month to month and never expire—so if you buy 100 credits and only use 30 one month, you still have 70 waiting for you next month. Once you run out, you simply purchase more. There's no automatic billing—you control your spend entirely.


These legacy plans don't include File Upload, bulk operations, bulk enrichment features, or API access. They're more limited in scope than our current plans, which is why most customers eventually transition.


How Credits are Dispensed

Credits are dispensed automatically based on your subscription type:

  • Monthly subscriptions: Receive new credits each month
  • Annual subscriptions: Receive all credits for the year upfront

As long as your subscription remains active, credits will continue to be added.


What If I Run Out of Credits?

You have two options:

  1. Wait for your next renewal: Credits refresh automatically on your next billing cycle date.
  2. Purchase a new subscription immediately: This will instantly add more credits to your account and reset your billing cycle to the date of purchase. You will only be charged for one active subscription at a time—no double billing.

Important: Credit Cancellation

If your subscription is canceled or lapses, any remaining credits will be lost. Ensure you cancel before you intend to stop using the service to avoid unexpected charges.


Should You Upgrade from Legacy to Unlimited?

Here's the honest math: if you're doing more than a handful of searches per month, unlimited plans are almost always cheaper. You lose the complexity of managing credits, and you get access to new features like File Upload and API integrations that weren't available on legacy plans.

Here's the $5 hold you've probably heard about: When you sign up, you'll see a $5 temporary hold on your payment method. This isn't a charge—it's a standard authorization hold that your bank uses to verify your card is valid. Banks release these holds within a few business days, and you won't be charged the $5.

Trial duration: 7 days of full access to Chrome Extension and core features.

What happens next: Your free trial automatically converts to a paid plan once the trial period ends. If you want to avoid being charged, just cancel anytime before the trial ends via our support team.

By plan type:


Unlimited Plans (Professional, Team & Scale): Let us know before your next billing date and we'll process your cancellation. That's it—no extended notice periods needed.

Free Trials: Cancel before your trial period ends to prevent automatic conversion to a paid subscription. If you don't cancel, your trial will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial period.

Custom, Annual, or Enterprise Agreements: Check your contract for specific cancellation terms, or contact support@swordfish.ai to confirm the cancellation process for your plan—these may have different requirements.


Our support team will process your cancellation and send you a confirmation email. You'll retain full access to your plan until the end of your current billing period.


You're responsible for paying any outstanding fees as stipulated in your billing contract.


Refund Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable given the nature of our service and underlying third-party data costs.


However, Swordfish may offer refunds at its discretion for good-faith usage aligned with the spirit of the trial guarantee: try, assess, and decide. Refunds do not apply to custom, annual, team, or enterprise plans.

API Access

API access is available only to users on an approved Unlimited Plus/Team & Scale plan or higher, subject to separate case-by-case approval.


Approval is conditional upon disclosure and review of your intended use case and must align with our Fair Use Policy. Rate limits and usage thresholds apply to all API access.
