Looking to find business emails for your contact list? Swordfish makes it easy to enrich a spreadsheet of names and company domains with verified business email addresses—all through a simple file upload process.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Prepare Your CSV File
To enrich business emails, your spreadsheet should include:
Full Name (in one column) or First Name and Last Name (in two separate columns)
Company Domain (e.g.,
apple.com
, not just “Apple”)
Tip: If you only have full names in one column, that’s okay—Swordfish will automatically split the name for you during upload.
Example format:
First Name | Last Name | Company Domain |
---|---|---|
Linda | Mary | www.apple.com |
Patricia | Michael | www.youtube.com |
Susan | Robert | www.vimeo.com |
Deborah | John | www.blogger.com |
Barbara | David | www.google.com |
You can also format company domains without the "www."—either way works.
Step 2: Upload Your File
Once your spreadsheet is ready:
Go to the File Upload section in your Swordfish dashboard.
Upload your CSV file.
Step 3: Map Your Fields
After uploading, you’ll be prompted to map your column headers.
Assign the correct columns to First Name, Last Name, or Full Name
Assign the column for Company Domain
Accurate field mapping ensures Swordfish knows how to process each row correctly.
Step 4: Click “Start”
Once everything’s mapped, click Start to begin the enrichment process.
Step 5: Get Notified When It’s Ready
You don’t need to wait around—Swordfish will email you once your file is processed. Your enriched file will include new columns with available business email addresses, and any other relevant contact data found.
Note: Processing time may vary depending on file size and system load. Most files return within 5–30 minutes, but high-volume requests may take up to an hour.
